Healthy relationships—whether personal, professional, or casual—need clear boundaries. Here are the rules I live by. They’re simple, direct, and honest.
1. Don’t lie to me
Honesty is the baseline. I value straightforward communication over excuses or half-truths. When people tell the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, trust grows.
2. Don’t use me
I respect genuine give-and-take. If a connection is only one way—someone taking time, energy, or resources without reciprocity—that’s not a relationship I’ll keep. Mutuality matters.
3. If you’re tired of me, leave me alone
If someone’s ready to walk away, arguing or forcing the relationship is counterproductive. I prefer clarity and dignity: if you’re done, say so and step back. It saves everyone time and emotional energy.
